Restoration Law Center Joins Obama Administration

Applauding Fair Chance Employment Business Pledge

Los Angeles, California – Today, Restoration Law Center, the private law practice of Attorney Leslie Ivie, announced that it has joined with the Obama Administration and companies from across the American economy as a founding partner for the launch of the Fair Chance Business Pledge. This pledge represents a call-to-action for all members of the private sector to improve their communities by eliminating barriers for those with a criminal record and create a pathway for a second chance. Restoration Law Center’s collaboration with LA Mayor Garcetti’s Fair Chance Hiring Fair and Council member Curren Price’s CD 9 Public Interest Law Institute Reentry Legal workshops, sponsored by LA County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas, make the pledge more than an empty promise. Ms. Ivie will be available from 8:00am – 1:00pm on Friday, December 2 – Fair Chance Employment Hiring Fair, LA Trade Tech College, 400 Washington Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90015 to accept applications for the CD 9 Public Interest Law Institute Ambassador Training Program, provide information and offer free legal consultation.

Regarding the Fair Chance Employment pledge, Restoration Law Center Founding Attorney, Leslie Ivie said, “Thanks to the generous sponsorship of LA County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas and support of LA City Councilmember Curren Price, Restoration Law Center is partnering with Root & Rebound to offer free reentry legal workshops, and also accept applications for the 2017 Public Interest Law Institute Ambassador Training Program. This is foundational work to help make job applicants in our community career ready.”
